Paula B Stanic — Playwright — 28th October, Gloucester Guildhall

Paula’s written plays and co-created work for theatre companies & spaces around the country. Her play WHAT’S LOST won the Alfred Fagon Award, MONDAY was shortlisted for the John Whiting and FOUR DECADES was a finalist for the 2021 Women’s Prize for Playwriting. She’s been a writer-on-attachment (Soho Theatre & the National Theatre Studio), part of the 2016 Drama Room at BBC Writersroom & part of Screen Yorkshire’s Flex 2022 Talent Lab. She was the 2023 Roland Rees Recipient. Recent work includes – MESSIAH co-written with Jesse Briton. WINDRUSH GIRL (a play for primary schools 9+) Prime Theatre. NIGHT SHIFT for Zoo Co Theatre & DISSONANCE for Paines Plough & RWCMD, NEW’24, Young Vic. Her play TRACKS for New Light Theatre Project premiered at Pendragon Theatre, New York, before transferring to 59E59, Off-Broadway. She’s currently creating/ developing work for screen with creative partner Makalla McPherson at Origin Studios.

Paula B Stanic appears at The Glos-sary on 28th October, 18:00–20:30 at Gloucester Guildhall, as part of a series of Wednesday evenings in conversation with invited writers and creatives, hosted by Georgia Williams.
