Gamu Matarira — Leadership Researcher and Storyteller — 14th October, Gloucester Guildhall

Gamu Matarira is a leadership researcher, strategist and founder of Gen A Consultancy. Her work explores how indigenous knowledge, lived experience and cultural intelligence can reshape contemporary leadership narratives. Her previous Stories of African Leadership research project undertaken with Ghana, South Africa and the UK diaspora, provided the foundation for the Rooted in African Intelligence project.

Rooted in African Intelligence (RAI): Stories of African Trailblazers is a documentary research project exploring leadership through the lived experiences of six African diaspora trailblazers across Business, Science, Healthcare, Architecture, the Creative Industries and public life. Through their stories, RAI explores how culture, identity and lived experience shape how these leaders make decisions, navigate complexity, create opportunities and lead others – placing African perspectives at the centre of the leadership conversation.

Gamu Matarira appears at The Glos-sary on 14th October, 18:00–20:30 at Gloucester Guildhall, as part of a series of Wednesday evenings in conversation with invited writers and creatives, hosted by Georgia Williams.
